Marble Fudge Bars
Pan Size: 9×13-inch pan
Baking Time: 40 minutes
Temperature: 350°
Serves: 32 pieces
Batter:
- 1 c. butter
- 4 squares unsweetened chocolate
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. nuts, chopped
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Topping:
- 1 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
1. In saucepan, melt butter and chocolate.
2. Take pan off heat and beat in the sugar and eggs.
3. Stir in the flour, salt, nuts and vanilla.
4. Pour into greased 9×13-inch pan.
5. Place all of the topping ingredients in a bowl and beat with an electric beater till blended (do not overbeat).
6. Drop topping by tablespoonful on the batter.
7. Marbleize the topping into the batter with a knife.
8. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
9. When done, cool for 5 minutes, then cut into squares.
NOTE: Do not overbake or the bars will become dry. Cut the bars while warm or it will be difficult to cut.
