Beef with String Beans
- ½ lb. tender beef
- 1 lb. string beans (cut into 1″ lengths)
- 1 clove garlic – 1 sliced ginger, crushed
Seasoning: Mix in bowl
- 1 tbsp. soyu
- ½ tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. wine
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch
- ¼ tsp. monosodium glutamate
Slice beef very thin and flat. Add beef to seasoning, let stand for 10 to 20 minutes. Bring to a boil 1 cup water and add 1 tsp. salt. Add string beans and boil for 4 minutes without lid. Do not strain. Heat pan with oil. Brown ginger and garlic; fry meat for 2 minutes, until almost done. Add beans with liquid and cook for 1 minute. Add more cornstarch if thicker gravy is desired. Serve hot.
