Amaretto Chocolate Bars

Crust:

  • 3 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 2 Sticks Butter, softened
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar, packed

Filling:

  • 4 Ea Large Eggs
  • 3/4 Cup Light Corn Syrup
  • 3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Amaretto Liqueur
  • 2 Tbsp Butter, melted
  • 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 Cups Sliced Almonds
  • 2 Cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease pan.

2. Beat crust ingredients until crumbly. Press into pan and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

3. Whisk eggs, corn syrup, sugar, liqueur, butter, and cornstarch. Stir in almonds and 1 2/3 cups of the morsels. Pour and spread over hot crust.

4. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the center is set. Let cool.

5. Melt remaining 1/3 cup morsels and drizzle over cooled bars. Chill to set the chocolate and cut into bars.
