Applesauce Bread Pudding

• 1 pint scalded milk
• ½ loaf bread, cubed
• 3 eggs (beaten)
• ½ cup sugar
• ¼ tsp. salt
• ½ tsp. vanilla
• ¾ cup raisins
• 1 cup applesauce
• ¼ tsp. nutmeg

Pour milk over bread to make it soft. Mix together the next seven ingredients and add to the bread and milk mixture. Bake in a greased pan at 325 degrees for about 1 hour, or until a knife, inserted in the center comes out clean.
