Candied Sweet Potatoes
- 3 large Sweet Potatoes
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- Cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons Butter
- 6 pieces Orange Peel
- 1/2 cup Water
Boil whole potatoes until tender. Peel skin and discard. Slice potatoes into thin slices. In an ovenproof dish, layer potatoes with sugar, cinnamon and butter. Sprinkle top layer with sugar, cinnamon, butter and orange peel. Pour water evenly over mixture.
Bake in a preheated 350° oven for about 30 minutes.
Yield: 4 servings.
