Easy, Flaky Pastry

  • 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. shortening

Combine, cut shortening until pea size with fork or pastry blender.

Add about 3 Tbsp. cold water. Roll between 2 sheets of waxed paper. Shape in pan, flute edges, prick with fork and bake in 425 degree F. until golden brown.
