Candied Spiced Nuts

Combine 1 cup sugar, 1 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp cloves, 2 Tsp cinnamon and 1 cup water in a saucepan. Boil to soft ball stage (234-240 degrees); add 1/2 pound nuts. Remove from heat and stir until sugary. Pour into buttered pan. When cool, break into pieces.

Yield: 1/2 pound
