Pretzels

Pauline Ragual Ellamar, Class of 1969

  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 6 Tbsp evaporated milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1-1/2 cups cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Mix together 1 egg, well beaten, 6 Tbsp evaporated milk and 1 cup water. Stir and add to egg mixture 1-1/2 cups cornstarch, 3/4 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 tsp salt. Fry in hot oil, using pretzel irons.
