Garbage Cookies

Class of 1947

• 2 blocks butter
• 1 cup white sugar
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 cups flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 2 cups oatmeal
• 2 cups Rice Krispies
• 1 cup walnuts, chopped
• 1 pkg chocolate chip morsels

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients all together, then add to creamed mixture. Add oatmeal and Rice Krispies, nuts and chocolate chip morsels into mixture. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes.
