Crust

  • 1½ cups flour
  • 6 tbsp. shortening
  • 4 tbsp. water (about)
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. baking powder

Sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until crumbly in appearance. Add water, a tablespoon at a time until mixture is moistened just enough to hold together. Chill 10 minutes before rolling out. Bake for 10 minutes at 450 degrees.
