Banana Split Pie
- 8 inch baked pie shell
- ½ cup butter or margarine
- 1½ cups sifted confectioner’s sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 bananas
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 square chocolate, grated
- ¼ cup walnut, chopped
Cream butter, add sugar gradually, creaming well. Add eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla.
Slice bananas and sprinkle with lemon juice. Reserve 12 slices for garnish. Fold into sugar mixture the grated chocolate and banana. Turn into baked pie shell, garnish with walnuts and banana slices. Chill for 2 or 3 hours. This is best served on the day it is made.
