Sweet and Sour Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tablespoons salad oil
  • 1 small green pepper
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 can (8 oz.) pineapple chunks (undrained)

Blend cornstarch with water until smooth. Add vinegar, honey, and pineapple chunks with juice. Cut green pepper into thin strips. Heat oil in skillet and saute green pepper, onion, and garlic. Add cornstarch mixture. Bring to boil, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth. Great as a barbecue sauce.
