Tomato Cake

  • 2 blocks butter
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c. water

Cream sugar and butter well. Then add rest of dry ingredients and liquid alternately. Beat egg whites and fold into mixture. Bake 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Frosting:

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 block butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 can drained peaches

Apply when cake is still warm.
