Steam Cake

Jo Ann Andrade Loa, Class of 1967

  • 1 cup Bisquick
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 8-9 inch pie pan greased with butter or margarine

Combine all ingredients until moistened (mixture will be lumpy); pour into greased pie pan and steam in steamer or large pot with dish towel over cover to absorb moisture. Steam at medium heat for 25 minutes.
Optional topping: Butter, sugar and cinnamon.

NOTE: Perfect dessert to start before dinner and it will be ready for eating when it’s dessert time.
