Spinach Supreme

  • 3 pkgs. frozen chopped spinach*
  • 1 env. instant onion soup mix
  • 1 pt. sour cream or imitation
  • Butter
  • Bread crumbs
  • Slivered almonds (optional)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

*Same recipe can be used substituting chopped broccoli.

Cook spinach according to package directions. Drain thoroughly (very important). In large bowl combine sour cream and soup mix, stir until blended. Add drained spinach, mix thoroughly. Transfer to oven proof casserole, dot top with butter and sprinkle with bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese and slivered almonds. Bake covered in 350 degree oven for 30 to 45 minutes.

NOTE: Chopped broccoli can be substituted for spinach.
