Snowballs

- 1 C. Crisco shortening
- 2 blocks butter
- 1/2 C. sugar
- 4 tsp. water
- 4 tsp. vanilla
- 4 C. nuts
- 4 C. flour
- powdered sugar to roll cookies in
Preheat the oven to 350°. Cream the shortening and butter then gradually add sugar and cream until smooth. Add water and vanilla and mix until all ingredients are blended. Chop nuts (not fine) and mix with flour. Add flour mixture to the shortening mixture to make a dough. Form dough into balls and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until top of cookie is slightly brown. Remove from oven and cool. Roll cooled cookies in powdered sugar.
