Snickerdoodles
Lori-Ann Hanzal Vanderwoude, Class of 1972
- 1 cup soft shortening
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 eggs
Mix together.
- 2-3/4 cups flour
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
Sift together and stir into above.
- Roll into balls the size of walnuts.
- Roll in mixture of 2 Tbsp sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon.
- Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 8-10 minutes in 400 degree oven until lightly brown, but still soft.
