Satsuma Plum Pickle
- 10 lbs. plums, ripe but firm
- 1/3 cup salt
Cut plums in half. Soak overnight. Drain and dry in hot sun for a day.
Syrup:
- 2 cups raw sugar
- 1 cup water
- 3 tbsp. molasses
- 1 tsp. five spice
Bring above ingredients to a boil. Add plums and let it soak for a couple of days.
