Rich Biscuits

Yoshie Iwasaki – Kawailani

  • 2 c flour
  • 4 T shortening
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 T sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ½ c milk

Sift flour, baking powder and salt, then cut in the shortening, with finger tip. Add sugar. Then add egg and milk enough to make dough easily handled. Roll out the dough and cut with biscuit cutter or bake in muffin pan.

Bake in hot oven, 400° F. for 15 to 20 minutes.
