Puff Pastry Dessert

- 2 Ea Boxes Puff Pastry sheets
- 8 Oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 8 Oz Cool Whip, defrosted
- 2/3 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla
- 1/2 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1 Can Blueberry or Cherry Pie Filling
1. Cut each puff pastry sheet into 16 pieces (about 2 ½” square).
2. Put 2 pieces (1 on top of the other) of puff pastry in each section of a muffin pan and bake at 400°F for 15 minutes.
3. After baking, separate pieces to cool.
4. Blend cream cheese, Cool Whip, sugar, vanilla and lemon juice until smooth and creamy.
5. Put one piece of puff pastry in a paper muffin cup, top with a spoonful of cream cheese filling and a spoonful of pie filling. Cover with the other piece of puff pastry.
6. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and refrigerate (cover with waxed paper only).
This dessert is elegant looking and easy (don’t be intimidated by puff pastry)!!
