Pineapple Nut Bars

- 1/2 C. butter or margarine, softened
- 2 C. sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 C. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 20 oz. crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 C. chopped nuts
- powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour 13″x9″x2″ pan. In large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour with salt and baking soda then mix into batter alternately with the drained pineapple. Stir in nuts. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool then cut into 2″x1.5″ bars. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
