Nita’s Cake

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 4 oz. box instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 T. baking powder
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 T. vanilla, divided
  • 1/2 C. vegetable oil
  • 1 C. hot water
  • 1 block butter
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 1 T. unsweetened cocoa (Hershey’s)
  • 6 T. milk

Combine cake mix, pudding, baking powder, eggs, 1 T. vanilla, vegetable oil and water. Pour batter into a 9″x13″ pan. Baking according to the directions on the cake mix box. For the frosting, cream butter and sugar together. Mix in the remaining 1 T. vanilla, unsweetened cocoa, and milk. Poke holes in cake with chopstick and pour frosting over cake.
