Lentils Soup
- 1/2 pkg. lentils (7 oz.)
- 6 cups cold salted water (to taste)
Simmer 45 minutes.
Add:
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 can (2 1/2 size) tomatoes
- 2 tbsp. bacon fat
- 1/2 pound hamburger
- salt and pepper to taste
Cook one hour more. Diced carrots and potatoes may be added.
