Lemon Bars

- 2 C. sifted flour for crust
- 1/2 C. sifted powdered sugar for crust
- 1 C. butter
- 4 large eggs
- 1 3/4 C. sugar
- 1/3 C. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 C. flour for filling
- powdered sugar for sprinkling
Preheat the oven to 350°. Sift 2 C. flour and powdered sugar together. Cut in butter until mixture clings together. Press into 9″x13″ pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Beat eggs, sugar and lemon juice together. Sift 1/4 C. flour, baking powder and stir into egg mixture. Pour immediately over baked crust. Return pan to oven and bake for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cool completely and cut into bars.
