Korean Fried Rice #2

4 to 5 servings

  • 1 lb. pork
  • 1 lb. bean sprouts
  • 4 to 6 stalks green onion, chopped fine
  • 2 medium carrots, sliced fine
  • ½ lb. chinese peas
  • 1 – 4 oz. can mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp. sesame oil
  • 6 tbsp. shoyu
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. sesame seed
  • 1 clove garlic (chopped or mashed)
  • 4 cups cooked rice

Slice pork and soak in sauce made of shoyu, salt, sugar, sesame seed, garlic, and chopped green onion, for about 1 hour.

Steam bean sprout for few minutes.

Fry pork in sesame oil until cooked through. Add carrots and cook. Then add bean sprouts, mushrooms and peas.

Add rice at the end and pour sauce left over from pork. Mix well and serve.
