Homemade Biscuit Mix

Mrs. Keni Shigeoka – Ohea

  • 6 c sifted all-purpose flour
  • 3 T baking powder
  • 1 T salt
  • 1 c shortening (1/2 #)

Sift the dry ingredients several times. Cut shortening into the sifted dry ingredients. Blend until the shortening is evenly distributed and there are no lumps visible. Store in plastic or glass container with a tight cover. Makes 7 to 8 cups of mix.

To make biscuits: Use 2/3 c milk to 2 c mix.
