Holland Cookies
- ½ lb. butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg, separated
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- ½ cup chopped nuts
Cream butter and sugar and add other ingredients, egg yolk then flour. Spread batter evenly to ¼” thickness on well buttered cookie sheet.
Beat egg white and spread over top. Sprinkle chopped nuts over all, pressing the nuts in with the fingers. Bake at 300 degrees for 40 minutes. Cut in squares while hot.
