Gau (Microwave)
- 1 pkg. (16 oz.) Chinese brown sugar
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 pkg. (16 oz.) mochiko
- 1 can (12 oz.) frozen coconut milk, thawed
- 1/4 cup oil
- Sesame seeds
Dissolve brown sugar in boiling water. Stir in mochiko gradually. Add coconut milk and oil. Beat to smooth out ingredients. Pour mixture into a 5-cup tube pan sprayed with nonstick spray. Cover loosely. Microwave on HIGH for 16 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Cut into pieces with plastic knife.
