Easy Tangy Fruit
- 1 lb. dried fruits (prunes, apricots or peaches)
- ½ cup lemon juice, about 4 lemons
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. Chinese 5 spices, optional
Combine ingredients. Prick fruit with fork. Pour liquid over fruit. Store in a jar and let stand for a week to ripen. You may add 1/8 tsp. of Chinese star seed for an added flavor.
