Crisp Walnut Wafers

- ½ c shortening
- ½ c butter
- 2½ c powdered sugar
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 2½ c flour
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp soda
- 1 c chopped walnuts
Thoroughly cream shortening, and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients, then add walnuts and drop from teaspoon about 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake in oven 350° F. 12-15 minutes.
Makes about 5 dozens cookies.
