Crisp Toffee Bars

Yields 5 dozen

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1 c. nuts

Cream together butter, sugar and vanilla. Add flour – mix well. Stir in chocolate and nuts. Press mixture into ungreased 15 x 10 x 1 pan. Bake at 325 degrees 25 minutes or until browned. While warm, cut in bars or squares.
