Coffee Cake #6

Mrs. Fumiko Segawa – Ilima

  • 2 c flour
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 5 T sugar
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 4 T margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c milk
  • 1/4 c chopped nuts

Sift dry ingredients together. Blend in margarine; add beaten eggs to milk and add to dry ingredients. Put into greased square pan; sprinkle with nuts. Bake in 425° F. oven for twenty minutes. While hot, spread top with thin icing made with 1 cup confectioner’s sugar mixed with 2 T. strong coffee.
