Cabbage Goma Ae (Cabbage with Goma Sauce)

SERVINGS 4 – 6
- 1/2 small head cabbage
Shred cabbage and cook for 5 minutes in boiling water. Drain, squeeze lightly, then mix with goma ae sauce.
Goma Ae sauce:
- 1 1/2 teaspoons goma, roasted
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons shoyu
- 1/4 teaspoon gourmet powder
Grind goma in suribachi until fine. Add sugar, shoyu and gourmet powder.
Mix the vegetables with the sauce and serve.
Boiled spinach, horenso, mustard cabbage, shirona, string beans, bean sprout, or watercress may be substituted for cabbage.
