Bread Pudding
- 1 can condensed milk
- 3 cups hot water
- 2 cups finely diced bread (or 18 slices)
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 tbsp. melted butter
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Combine milk and hot water. Pour over bread and let stand until lukewarm. Stir in eggs, butter, salt and vanilla. Pour into greased 1½ qt. casserole or baking dish. Set in shallow pan of hot water. Bake in 350 degrees, until knife comes clean. About 1 hour. Serve hot or cold.
