Bread Pudding

Mrs. Fusae Nakakura – Haina

• 2 c milk
• 2 eggs
• 2 T melted butter
• 1/2 to 2/3 c sugar
• 1/8 tsp salt
• 1 c bread cubes
• 1 tsp vanilla

Beat eggs slightly, add milk, sugar, salt, vanilla and melted butter. Add bread cut in 1/2 inch cubes. Place in baking dish and bake in moderate oven until firm.

Variation: Add grated rind and juice of one lemon.
