Banana Cake II

  • 2/3 c shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 c cake flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 6 T milk
  • 1 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 c mashed bananas
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and beat thoroughly after each addition; add bananas. Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with milk and vanilla to creamed mixture. Pour mixture into 2 greased and floured 8 inch square cake pans and bake at 350° F for 40 minutes.
