Apple Kuchen
Crust
- 2 blocks butter
- 2-1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
Filling
- 1 can Comstock apple pie slices
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 T Tapioca or cornstarch
- 1 t cinnamon
- 2 T butter
Mix crust ingredients until crumbly. Press half of the crust mixture in a 9 x 13-inch pan. (Save the remainder for the top.)
Mix filling ingredients together except butter and cook for a few minutes until thickened. Add the butter. Spoon filling onto the crust. Sprinkle the remaining crust mixture on top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until slightly brown.
