Ono Cheese Puffs

  • 1/4 c. Parkay margarine
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 c. (8 oz.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Dash of cayenne
  • 3 eggs

Melt margarine in boiling water. Add flour, salt and cayenne; stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat. Add eggs, one at a time, heating evenly after each addition. Stir in cheese. Chill one hour. Drop by teaspoon, or roll into small ball, into hot oil, 350 degrees. Fry until golden brown.
