Lemon Fluff

A Graduate

  • 1 block butter
  • 1 block margarine
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 pkg gelatin
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 jar Avoset

Mix first 4 ingredients and press in 13×9-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Cool. Cook egg yolks with lemon juice and 3/4 cup sugar till thick. Add rind. Soften gelatin in water; add egg mixture. Chill. Beat egg white with 1/4 cup sugar. Whip Avoset. Beat egg mixture until fluffy. Fold in egg whites and Avoset. Blend well. Pour into crust; chill.
