Cracked Seed

• 3# pkg. prunes, cracked
• 2 c sugar
• 1½ c lemon juice
• ¼ c salt
• 4 T whiskey or 5 T wine

Crack prune seeds with clean hammer. Wash prunes. Combine with other ingredients and cook in a pot for 15-20 minutes. Cool and place in jars, cover tightly. The longer it is aged, the better taste
