Crisp Crunchie Cookies
- 1 stick butter
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg, separated
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
Cream butter, margarine and sugar. Add egg yolk. Stir in vanilla and flour. Beat well. Spread thin on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush top with beaten egg white. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 215 degrees F. for 1 hour. Cut into squares. Remove while hot.
