Bread Pudding

  • 1 loaf (16 oz.) sweet bread
  • 2 cups fresh milk
  • 1 block butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • cinnamon
  • raisins

Shred bread and place in a 9×13″ pan. Sprinkle with raisins. Set aside. In a pot add milk, butter and sugar. Heat until butter is melted; do not boil. Pour mixture over bread and raisins. In a separate bowl, beat eggs and vanilla. Pour liquid mixture over bread mixture. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
