Pioneer Bread Pudding

  • 3 cup bread cubes
  • 2 cup milk
  • 3 T. butter
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • Dash of salt
  • ½ t. vanilla
  • raisins

Use day old bread, cut in cubes. Place 2 cups in greased baking dish. Mix milk, butter, salt, and sugar and heat until sugar and butter melts. Beat eggs slightly. Add vanilla. slowly add hot milk mixture. Pour over bread cubes. Sprinkle with raisins and rest of bread cubes. Bake at 350ºF for 1 hour. Place in pan of water if you wish.
