Pumpkin Buns
- 5 lbs. flour
- 2½ cups sugar
- pinch of salt
- ¼ lb. butter
- 1 small can pumpkin
- 4 eggs
- 3 pkgs. dry yeast
- 3 cups warm milk
Dissolve yeast in a little lukewarm water. Add dry ingredients, eggs, pumpkin, yeast and butter. Add milk a little at a time and knead well, like bread. Let rise in warm place, until pan is full. Form into little buns and place in greased pan. Let rise. Coat with beaten egg and bake in moderate oven 350 degrees until golden brown and done.
