Halloween Kitty Litter Cake

• 1 box spice or German chocolate cake mix
• 1 box white cake mix
• 1 pkg. white sandwich cookies
• 1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding mix
• 12 small Tootsie Rolls or equivalent
• 1 or 2 drops green food coloring
• 1 cat-litter box
• 1 cat-litter liner
• 1 pooper-scooper
• 1 sheet newspaper

Bake cakes according to directions. Prepare pudding, mix in a few drops of green food coloring, and chill. Crumble cookies in small batches in blender or food processor. Add a few drops of green food coloring to 1 C. of cookie crumbs. Mix crumbs with fork or shake in a jar and set aside. When cakes are at room temperature, crumble them into a large bowl. Toss crumbled cake with half of the remaining cookie crumbs and enough pudding to make the mixture moist but not soggy. Place liner in the litter box and pour in mixture. Heat a few unwrapped Tootsie Rolls at a time in microwave until soft and pliable. Shape the blunt ends into slightly curved points. Bury the rolls decoratively in the cake mixture. Sprinkle remaining white cookies crumbs over the mixture. Scatter green crumbs lightly over the top. Place cat-litter box on a sheet of newspaper and serve with the pooper-scooper. Note: This is great for Halloween and the kids love it!!!
