Marvelous Coffee Cake

  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour cream beginning and ending with dry ingredients.

Pour half of batter into greased 9×9″ cake pan. Cover with half of *topping swirl. Add rest of batter and swirl top with rest of topping.

Bake at 325 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

*Filling and Topping

  • 1/3 c. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
