A Perfect Cup of Coffee
- Start with a clean coffeemaker.
- Use freshly ground beans and fresh cold, good-tasting water.
- Choose the correct grind for your coffeemaker.
- Use 1 to 2 tablespoons of ground coffee and 6 ounces of water per cup of coffee.
- Use metal or oxygen-bleached filters.
- Use coffeemakers with a slow brew time (between 4 and 7 minutes).
- Serve hot coffee as soon as it’s done brewing.
- Don’t reheat coffee—it becomes very bitter.
