Chirimen-Iriko with Suri Daikon

  • ¼ cup chirimen-iriko
  • 1 medium-sized turnip

Clean iriko, pour boiling water and drain. Pour boiling water again and let stand for 10-15 minutes. Drain.

Pare and grate daikon and mix with iriko. Serve with sanbaizu (see above yama imo sanbaizu). A little grated lemon or lime rind may be added.
