Orange Nut Bread

Mrs. A. Muramatsu – Hakalau

  • 4½ c flour
  • 4½ tsp baking powder
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ⅜ c sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ c walnuts, chopped
  • 1½ tsp orange peel, grated
  • 1½ c milk
  • ¾ c orange marmalade

Sift flour with baking powder, salt and sugar. Add the chopped nuts, grated orange peel, orange marmalade, milk and the well-beaten eggs. Turn into well-greased pan. Let stand for about 10 minutes. Then bake in a moderate oven 350° F for 1 hour.
