Cloud Biscuits

  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2/3 cup milk (for drop biscuits, increase to 3/4 cup)

Sift dry ingredients together and cut in shortening. Combine egg and milk and add all at once to dry mixture. Stir till dough follows fork around bowl. Drop by Tbsp onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake in 450 degree oven for 10-15 minutes.
